Hi! My name is Dalila Benitez, and today im going to write some information of mental health. Mental health is so important to us because it includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. If we are not healthy with our mental health it can affect the way we think, feel and act. Mental health is important at all stages of life, from childhood, adolescence and into adulthood. 

it is important to know how to have a healthy mentality, and be accompanied by a professional, for example when the pandemic was and we were all in quarantine many people got sick with many disorders such as depression, anxiety and paranoia. in my case I got sick and was anxious, every night I cried I felt very bad for everything that was happening and I saw deaths on the news and also because my parents and my brother went to work every day and I was in the house alone taking care of my little sister, thinking of my family and everything that was happening outside.

At one point I decided that I didn't want to feel like that anymore, I wanted to feel better, and I looked for professional help, at that time we didn't have money either and that's why I chose to look for free help, I found an organization called TOMA MI MANO, which is a Mexican organization and they helped me, they had a program for university students and when I mentioned that I was from another country they did not hesitate to help me, I started my session with my psychologist, her name is Karla and we started talking about what my childhood had been like which turned out strange because I wanted her to help me stop feeling in that way, but then I understood that we can have traumas since we are just children, that is why it is important to know how to treat children and how to educate them without traumatizing them, in my diagnosis she found that I had not yet gotten over the death of my grandfather and that I had had an absent father, we carried out many activities to let off steam and improve as a person and even not be dependent from someone, the truth is they helped me change my life, and when I thanked them they told me that everything was really thanks to me, because I decided to stop and improve.

For that reason, I always say that we have to have a good physical health but also mental health it is important, and I recommend it is good to get professional help, if we go to a psychologist it does not mean that we are crazy, it means that we want to change and improve our lives.

And if at any time you feel sad, alone and have no one to talk to, you can count on me, I know what it feels like and I've already gone through it, I'll always be willing to help! I hope this little text has been helpful to know that we are not alone and that mental health is important
