HI I AM RODRIGO ALEJANDRO ACOSTA MATAS AND IN TODAY’S BLOG IT IS MY ASSET TO PROVIDE INFORMATION ABOUT SEXUAL EDUCATION A REAL CONTROVERSIAL TOPIC WHICH HAS A LOT OF DIFFERENT OPINIONS FROM DIFFERENT PEOPLE AND WHAT THEY THINK AND BELIEVE ON, ACCORDING TO ITS DEFTINION SEXUAL EDUCATION IS: high quality teaching and learning about a broad variety of topics related to sex and sexuality. It explores values and beliefs about those topics and helps people gain the skills that are needed to navigate relationships with self, partners, and community, and manage one’s own sexual health.

Sexual education should be as normal as other topics are explained sometimes this do not happen because of taboos or religious beliefs from people whose minds are just closed and do not want to face off reality of what is important; people nowadays are ashamed of talking to their songs about sexual education because they did not recieve any lesson abot this topic, then it is almost imposible for them to teach something which they do not have any knowledge of.

Inadecuate sexual education can lead into many problems mostly for Young people such as: early pregnancies, STD (SEXUAL TRANSMITIONS DISEASES) some of the worse ones are: herpes, gonorrhea, papilomavirus infection and many others, all this because Young people are not edcuated enough, so they do not know what to do and when to do so, sometimes at schools what they learn is not enough cause they need to know in a general way what the topic is about, how to prevent beecause prevention is the most effective way in order to be health, also it is important to mention the age of the people when we show up with this topic according to psychologists the youg people should be from 14-to 17 when their parents should be start talking to them about sexual education and if it is not posible for them, look for a profesional in order to make this young population that everything what they feel it is normal but they a guidance to manage correctly and then to be able to decide for themselves what they want to do.

I’ve been through many things in my life some of them really bad ones but I am totally grateful that I received enough sexual education in school since I was at an average age old enough to understand ad make my own decisions that is why my opinión about this topi cis that sexual education should not be considered something to be ashamed of or like a taboo, as i mentioned before some family members do not talk about this because they have been taught that is not Good and maybe vulgar, we nned to change that in order to create a better society in te¿he future with the new generations who need to be Heard by the adults and professionals as well

Real life example

I remember a situation that happened over 9 years ago, I was 15 then, I had a friend who got pregnant by his boyfriend she was totally ashamed and even wanted to abort, she had mixed feelings and felt lost as well since she did not know what to do, she only needed to be Heard by her parents by they were very conservative and as she said they tought she was single, what then happened was that her parents realized about her situation after three months and they did not help, they just took her out of the house and told her many agressive things even though she was their only child, she looked for shelter at her grandma’s house whose thoughts were different and took her as a child and gave them all the necessary things, now her son is an eight years cute boy, I guess she forgave her parents and live happily or that’s what i hope so, it has been a long since I do not see her.

Recomendation:

The biggest recomendation that I’ve always Heard and maybe that is the one I would also provide is: DO NOT DO ANYTHING IF YOU’RE NOT SURE ENOUGH do not feel afraid of asking for help if your parents do not undertand what you feel, just look for professional help, even the teachers at school are a great help for this people who feel confused nowadays, investigate about relations, that is not vulgar as some people might say, it is better to know about something and it is consequences wheter they are Good or bad ones.
